materials: offwhite worsted yarn 20g(A)-main color

salmon pink 30g(B),gray(C), brown(D) or use your own colors.

MOTIF A: use B for 1st & 2nd rnd, D for 3rd rnd, A for last rnd.

MOTIF B: use B for 1st & 2nd rnd, C for 3rd rnd, A for last rnd.

MOTIF C: use C for 1st & 2nd rnd, B for 3rd rnd, A for last rnd.

NOTE: For making all motifs(motif A, motif B, motif C), one pattern.

Starting with motif A

RND1: ch4, join sl st in 1st ch to form a ring.

RND2: ch3, 2dc, *ch2, 3 dc* rep * to * 3 times,sl st on top of ch3.

RND3: 2 sl st in next 2 dc,( ch3 2dc ch3 3dc) in ch2 space,ch1,*(3dc ch2 3dc)* in next ch2 space, rep *to* 3 times,sl st on top of ch3

RND4: last rnd.2 sl st in 2 dc, (ch3 2dc ch3 3 dc) in ch3 sp,ch1, *3dc in ch1 sp, ch1, (3dc ch3 3dc) on ch3,ch1 sp* rep * to * 3 times, sl st on top of ch3. Fasten off, weave ends

Note: Make 2 of this MAT pattern, 1 for front and 1 for back of bag.

-Now make motif B, same as the given pattern instructions above, finishing with motif B attach to motif A.

-make another motif A attach beside motif B (pattern now is A-B-A)

-make motif B attach below A , make motif C attach below B and attach beside motif B of previous motif, make motif B attach below A and attach beside motif C ,pattern now is:

-make motif A attach below motif B, make motif B attach below motif C and beside motif A, make motif A attach below B and beside motif A,pattern now is:

Attach 2 Mat patterns together using main color yarn or color A. Facing wrong side of 1st mat put over right side of 2nd mat, join around in sc leaving one side open (for opening). Do not Fasten off,

RND1: sc evenly around the bag, sl st on top of 1st sc

RND2-3: repeat rnd 1. Fasten off.

Attach main color on the side of one motif, sl st along sides of all motifs ( front and back motifs ), fasten off, weave all ends.

FOR STRAP: make 2 using main color,
RND1: ch5, sc in all ch, turn

RND2: ch1 sc in next ch, turn

RND3-TO RND * ( desired length ): repeat Rnd2. Fasten off. attach strap between top of AB motif opening and attach opposite strap between top of BA motif opening. Do the same for the other strap on the opposite mat opening of the bag.Fasten off weave ends.

With MC (main Color)
RND1: ch11, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 7 hdc in next 7 sts., 6hdc in last ch, now work in opposite side, 7 hdc in 7 next sts, 5 hdc in last ch, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

RND2: ch1, 8hdc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in each of next 5 sts, 8hdc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in each next 5 sts, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

RND3: ch1, 8hdc in next 8 sts, *2hdc in nxt st, 1hdc in nxt st* 5 times, 8hdc in next 8 sts, rep.* to * 5 times, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

UPPER: Make 2. using alternate colors, Color A and Color B
Using color B first:
RND1: WORK IN BACK LOOPS FOR THIS ROUND ONLY. ch1, 1hdc in each st around the sole, join with slip st in 1st hdc. (46 hdc)

RND2: attach color A, ch1, 10hdc in next 10 sts, hdc2tog, 7hdc in next 7 sts, hdc2tog, 12hdc in next 12 sts, hdc2tog, 7hdc in next 7 sts, hdc2tog, 2hdc in next 2 sts, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

RND3: attach color B, ch1, 9hdc in next 9 sts, hdc2tog, 6hdc in next 6 sts, hdc2tog, 15hdc in next 15 sts, 6hdc in last 6 sts, join in 1st hdc. FASTEN OFF

Now begin to work in centermost 7 sts which is exactly on top of hdc2tog ch and work in rows.
RND1: With MC, ch1 hdc in same st, 6 hdc in next 6 sts, skip 1 st, 2 sl st on the side of bootie, turn

RND2: skip 2 sts, 7 hdc in next 7 sts, skip 1 st, 2 sl st, turn

RND3-4: skip 2 sts, 7 hdc in next 7 sts, skip 1 st, 2 sl st, turn

RND5: skip 2 sts, 7 hdc in next 7 sts, skip 1 st, 1 sl st.

RND6: sc around opening. FASTEN OFF. Weave ends.

STRAP:With color A, facing the toe, fold lengthwise, det. center. from center count 5, attach color A, ch 25.Fasten Off, Weave ends.
Det. center again and on opposite side, count 5 sts, attach color B, ch25.Fasten Off.Weave ends. Tie both straps.

Thread: Color a, Color B

SOLE:

RND1- With main color (color A) ch10, 2 hdc in 3rd ch fr hook, 1 hdc in next 6 ch, 6 hdc, working on the other side, 1 hdc in ea next 6 ch, end with 3 hdc in last ch of starting ch. join with sl st.

RND2- ch2, 1 hdc in same sp, 2 hdc in next 2 sts, 1 hdc in next 7 sts, 2 hdc in each of 5 ch. working around, 1 hdc in next 7 sts, end with 2 hdc in next 2 sts., join.

RND3- WORK IN BACK LOOPS FOR THIS ROW ONLY: ch 2, 1 hdc in each sts around,join.

RND4-5- ch2, 1 hdc in each st. around, join, pull up a loop on last ch. DO NOT FASTEN OFF

TOE:
Fold finish sole lenghtwise and determine the center front, count 8 stitches back from center, attach another yarn (Color B) on that st. Work as dc's as indicated.
*DC: after attaching yarn, ch3, yo, insert next st, yo, draw all loops through st and yo, draw through 2 loops on hook, leaving last loop on the hook while working next st, do this 15 times ending up with 16 loops on the hook, PULL TIGHT and YO once more through LAST LOOP on hook. TIE OFFand weave ends.

STRAP: attach Color A or main color to the 8 stitches back from center space( ch 3 of color B), ch 5, sl st in color B dc sp of previous row ( row 5). fasten off. weave ends.

For right bootie: follow the same instructions.
